 The Truth Behind SZA and Drakes Relationship

Is SZA and Drakes relationship illegal? Everyone remembers R. Kelly and Aaliyah court case, are SZA and Drake the sequel? This writing will dig deep into the “illegal” and “so childish” relationship between singer/ songwriter SZA and fellow artist Drake.

As is known Drake is by far one of the best artists currently and his collaborations with singer SZA have been some of his best music productions. Although SZA and Drake are good friends now they have history, hidden history.

In Drakes song featuring fellow artists 21 Savage and Metro Boomin “Mr. Right Now” Drake says “Yeah, she said she want to sex to some SZA, wait because I used to date SZA back in ‘08”. This brought fans to question this “friendship” between SZA and Drake but also to notice the age difference between the two. In 2008, SZA would have been 17 and Drake would have been 23, raising the question of was SZA and Drakes relationship even legal?

So 17 and 23... isn’t that a case? Some viewers such as I cannot even think of Drake without questioning if he is a predator? Viewers want to know the truth behind the matter and if there is more to this pairing than just music making.

SZA responded on Twitter, explaining that they were not together in 2008 but were in 2009 and saw the relationship as “Completely innocent” and “Not hot and heavy or anything”. Both Drake and SZA have shown efforts to clarify their romance has come to pass.

Both artists have seemed to extremely downplay the whole situation leaving listeners to wonder are SZA and Drake still together? They have collaborated in songs together such as “Slime You Out” and “Rich Baby Daddy.” Also, both artists have been seen together in several photoshoots and publicly spotted having dinner together, but SZA claims her, and Drake's relationship is “All love and peace” but romantic love or friendly love?

Sure, there have been rumored relations between SZA and Drake in the past such as the song “Marvins Room” song by Drake being about SZA. In “Marvins Room” Drake expresses his feelings towards his unnamed ex-girlfriend about his loneliness and frustration caused by their relationship. Fans rumored to say these feelings Drake expressed were directed to SZA and was connected to SZA’s newer feature in “Telekinesis” where she rants about how she feels “so cold” and so lonely but also betrayed because “How can I sleep while you're out catching bodies” or cheating. Listeners linked their two songs together as if Drake was writing about SZA and SZA was singing about Drake. But if this is truthful why did SZA say “I still want to be with you, trust me I know that’s insane” .... So, does SZA still have love for Drake or is it all irrelevant?

Regardless, some people love SZA, and others love Drake so Drake+SZA could be the new Dynamic Duo, the next Jayz and Beyonce, a new power couple.
